[The audio opens to the ending of a nice rendition of O, Holy Night. Cinna's voice speaks clearly.]

It's all very lovely for the most part, but it seems rather repetitive. [As he's speaking, however, the song changes to, well, something else. So far, only the instrumental introduction is heard.]

Different arrangements, but they're all the same songs. So I ask, is it common in your worlds to listen to all of them over and over, like today, or is this simply the City's attempt at driving us mad?

[He pauses for a little while to listen, you may even catch him humming a little as he picks up the basic melody.] This one seems nice, but... some of them are a little strange, you have to admit. For example, why someone would sing about the death of their Grandmother at the hooves of... a... [The vocals have kicked in. City, have some chipmunks. There's silence on Cinna's end until...]

...you must be joking. Not even the Capitol would listen to that.

It does seem to be... everywhere. That really is an obnoxious sound.

[A pause.]

They don't add up, do they? All the different...it's hard to believe they all mean the same holiday.

Those are more along the lines of children's songs. They'll go by quickly.

Grandmda got run over by a reindeer? It's not a serious song.

My boss says it's music for the next holiday.

It's hard to sleep through.

But why? Doesn't it get tiring? [pause] Well, that's a relief - it's a horrible thing to sing about.

[But then, there are songs about the Games.]

I'm getting that impression. Some of them are fairly ridiculous.

I hope so, it's... unnerving. How is one supposed to work with this playing?

Most of the time, sure. But the bright side is that it's really only once a year for like a month.

I prefer Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey anyway.

[Pause, a little softer.] Is there anything I can do?

[Angela falls quiet as she fumbles with something in the background. This starts playing. Enjoy, Cinna!]

What's a reindeer, anyway?

I keep hearing the one about hungry kids.

[Have a pause, as he seems to shake himself out of a daze.]

Do you have anything for rope burn?

Tune it out, if you're able. If not, hum along. it'll make the tune seem less irritating.

[There is absolute silence on this end. Angela, what have you done to Cinna?]

I don't know, but I presume they have hooves and there's something to do with Santa.

There's a red-nosed one as well whose nose glows.

...I don't know why I don't just find someone else to run the shop for me.

[Hopefully she ~~broke him~~ got him some Christmas cheer.]

We have a fairly robust first-aid kit in the apartment, it's in the hall closet by my bedroom. If there isn't anything there, let me know I'll pick it up on my way back.
