Well, this certainly isn’t the Capitol, the fashion on the streets isn’t any I recognize and I could have sworn I was in a studio audience taking my bows just a moment ago.

I've been here long enough, so... I guess you can ask whatever you want. I'll try to explain it as best I can. There are just some things that you might not grasp right away.

Both Peeta and Katniss have mentioned being from other times, how does that work?

I don't know how it works specifically, like the logistics behind it or anything. But I do know that people from the same world can come here from different points in time at home. You might be a year ahead of them. Someone from my world might be a year behind me. Time here... moves differently than it does at home. While you're here, time will stop back in your District. So when you do go home, if you do go home, it'll be just like you never left.

Yes, well, we would have noticed if they'd disappeared before... never mind.

I know them. I'd say more friendly acquaintances than friends right now. I haven't known them very long.

About four months? Since May. And it's August.

Yes, someone would have noticed them disappearing for that long.

That's because time has stopped during the period they come from.

I'm fairly certain it kept moving. I was there, after all.
