threadthefire: (so im just supposed to sit here)

Please tell me that I'm not the only one that thinks the silver hair of a unicorn gathered under the full moon is a little much to pay for one's morning coffee?

...and as an aside, passionné, cafe satiné, and salon lustré will be closed until my staff stops insisting that Laszlo Jamf's glasses are the going rate for a trim. All staff will be paid a partial day's wages, assuming they don't actually find, what was it... ah, yes, the golden egg of a goose for their morning pastry.

What sort of curse is this, anyway?

I wouldn't be surprised. Not after what I've seen in the scant hours I've been up.

[He sighs.]

And here I was trying to get an early start so I could kidnap you for an early evening out.

[Hours? Pfft. She's been up mere minutes. How people do the early bird thing, Angela will never understand.]

Can it be called kidnapping if I went willingly?

If that's what floats your boat, we can call it anything you want.

"Floats my boat?" Is that supposed to be some kind of euphemism?

No, but tickle your pickle is.

[He's just going to laugh because it might be the most ridiculous phrase he's ever heard.]

[Well, it is a ridiculous phrase. Angela will admit that.]

Oh, go ahead and yuk it up. See if I ever tickle your pickle again.

I wasn't laughing at you, just... that phrase. Do people in your world actually talk like that?

Babe, I was joking. You really do need your coffee.

And yes, some of us to, but nobody actually takes its seriously. You guys don't have funny phrases in Panem?

[He knew that, really he did.]

Yes, but I've never heard one involving pickles. It's a very strange... mental image to have.

It's a rhyming thing. Tickle, pickle. Float, boat. Though, like I said, pickle can be used as an euphemism.

Just wait until I actually get out of bed and get coffee in me. You won't know what to do with me.

[Yes, somebody is still under the blankets. What is this morning thing you speak of?]

I'm not sure if that's a compliment or backhanded commentary on my behavior.
