Well, that was a... rather bracing month.

I'm certain that most of you already knew about Ms. Angela Montenegro's return to her home, I've taken care of her things, packed what I could, but if there is anything anyone would like before I donate the remaining items to the Welcome Center, please, let me know.

In the hopes that this holiday season is a pleasant one, my businesses, passionné, salon lustré and even cafe satiné will be having weekly specials through the end of the year. Feel free to come by and see what's available.

[ooc: Off hiatus and slowly getting back to things. Assume that Cinna was so broken by his recent losses that he's been buried in work and hardly going out. He's now pretending that everything's okay. HE LIES.]

Is it? I'll certainly take that into consideration.

[Taking the liberty, he goes ahead and pours her a glass of water, handing it to her with a smile. He doesn't need to be able to read minds to know what she's thinking. Its a life interrupted and he imagines its how Katniss' mother and sister felt when she was whisked away to the Capitol for the games. Sure there was the chance she would survive and return, but really, the odds had been against the girl.

Still, it hadn't stopped him from betting on her.]

I don't think it will take that much, I'll have you to help me.

[Ginny accepts the glass of water with a smile of thanks, taking a sip as she looks around the apartment with a quietly unsettled feeling in her stomach. She's seen this before in other places. She's seen it in a whole cabin, devoid of every magical resident from her world. Ginny still hates it, though it's a fact of life when it comes to living in the City.

She glances over to Cinna over the rim of her glass, smiling turning vaguely amused.]

Of course I'll help you. I hope there's a ball for Christmas this year—I missed out on being his date about seven years ago for the same sort of thing.

If you really want something like that, why wait for someone else to throw it?

[Regardless, Cinna's making the decision to make certain Ginny has the best holiday she can. Without anyone else to care for, it seems all his attentions will fall onto her. Sorry, Ginny, you've inherited a Cinna.]

Because throwing parties isn't something I'm especially good at, Cinna. I just go to them.

[She understands that and certainly doesn't mind—wouldn't mind, if he said as much to her. If anything, she's glad he isn't shutting himself off from people (it's so easy to do it, she'd been tempted years ago); so she keeps smiling, going as far as gently nudging him, teasing.]

Come to think of it, I'm fairly useless at dressing myself for them, too. Harry's worse, though. His idea for how clothes fit's all wrong. Thank Merlin I've got such a brilliant friend like you, hm?

Thank... Merlin. I suppose that's true, you are a lucky girl.

[He gives her a smile before heading towards the boxes again.]

I don't just mean the clothes.

[It's said softly, a little bit more heartfelt; because it's true, this friendship does mean more than that. She understands what it's like to be left behind again and again and how hard she tried to push everyone else away because she was worried they'd leave, too. She did the same with Harry when he first arrived and though they're happier than they've ever been with all this extra time they've been given, there's still that lingering anxiety that the City will take it all away in a heartbeat. She knows that all too well. So Cinna still being here, Cinna still being her friend and turning into one of her few constants in the City—it's all important, too.

Ginny sets down the half-empty glass of water and moves along to stand next to him, pulling her hair up into a ponytail and out of the way.]

So what d'you need me to do?

I have most of Maria's things packed, save for some toys and books, if you could see to those.

[He took a deep breath and went back to sorting through some art books he'd been putting off looking through. Things she'd shown him of the art from her world, things he was starting to draw inspiration from. He wasn't sure if he wanted to rid himself of the reminders or hold to them all the tighter.]

Of course you can look through everything at your leisure, if there's anything you wish to help yourself to...

No.

[The response is soft and firm, spoken before she's even raised her wand to help pack away the last few things. Most times when someone heads home, they leave things for certain friends; Angela hadn't, nothing but a letter—and so Ginny feels strange to take anything more than that.]

No, that's alright. I've gifts from her, pictures... That's enough.
