14th Design [accidental video]

[The camera clicks on into a semi-dark bedroom. The early morning sun shines weakly through curtains and blinds to show a bed, covers all askew. An alarm goes off and the covers move as whoever is underneath them starts to slide out of bed...

...and falls to the floor with a surprised bark.

From the far edge of the bed, the head of adog and blinks a few times. A paw is clumsily set on top of the covers and he looks at it, eyes wide.

With the alarm still going off in the distance, you can just hear a soft whine as the dog looks at his paw again, and then over to the alarm clock.

It's going to be a very long day.]

[ooc: We're just going to assume that all three of the dog icons are of the same dog, mmmkay? They're close matches but not perfect. Today Cinna is an Italian Greyhound which is like a "toy" version of a normal greyhound. He's about 20 inches tall at the shoulder and weighs about 18lbs.

Apartment-mates can probably hear the alarm (if they're not cursed themselves) and action for them is welcome. Heck, if anyone wants to action something out he will be walking around the City later in the day. Just because he's a dog doesn't mean he can't go check on construction at the shop. Anyone else will have to be video.

Also, I'll tag when I get back this afternoon, I just wanted to get this up now.]

[Sigh. Cinna barks a few more times. Although if he were thinking, he would have stayed silent.

What does he expect to accomplish with this? He's a dog today.]

[That definitely didn't come from the collie. It's not even her bark. Angela furrows her brow and crawls down to the device, only to see another dog, a strange dog, on the screen. She moves to flick the off button, but wait... that network ID...]

[His head bobs up and down twice, and he gives a low whine. This is... embarrassing. Yes, that's the word, embarrassing.]

They turned you into a dog. [That might be a snicker coming from her. She still likes you, though, Cinna.] A cute dog, but a dog, nonetheless.

[A cute dog, hmm? His tail wags a little and he realizes that sounds a little... needy. But he barks a friendly confirmation and is glad that they didn't have plans that he'd have to reschedule.]

[Angela sits up straighter now, taming her hair with a hard carded through it. Biscuit is still very much interested in this other dog, as seen by her trying to push her nose into the device.]

You need anything? Toys, a walk, opposable thumbs?

[His head shakes as he makes a strange growling-barking-whining sound that is the best he's come to a chuckle. Although, he reconsiders and his head twists a little. He would like to see Angela in person, so he raises a paw, trying to make a pointing motion which probably more resembles an attempt to bat the device off the chair it's sitting on.]

I'm sorry. I don't understand you, Cinna. You need help with the device?

[And Biscuit's no help in playing translator because all she does is bark right into Angela's ear. Sigh.]

[There's a little whine. And the paw comes up and over his eyes in a facepalm-like gesture. His head shakes negative. There are no words. Actually, no words.]

[Now that her eyes are less blurry and they're starting to focus even without the help of coffee, Angela notices that he's shaking his head weirdly.]

Is that a no? No, you don't need help with the device? You don't want to see the device?

[Look, Cinna. She's just trying to understand your dog speak.]

[That, he can answer. He gives a happy yap and nods. Yes, would she like to meet him for something to eat?]

[He barks at the chicken, at least, he hopes she knows it was a bark at the chicken. He's not sure how raw fish will go over in this form. But really it doesn't matter if he can get her to come over.]

[Now she's sliding out of bed and kicking off her mismatched pajama pants, not realizing that she's undressing in front of a dog... that's not hers.]

I'm on my way. Don't chase any squirrels.

[Oh! This is... interesting. And while Cinna's never been awkward at the nakedness of people - you can't be a stylist and have that problem - this is Angela. And perhaps this isn't appropriate.

Not that he intends to stop watching. In fact, he sits down, tongue lolling out a little with his tail wagging.]

[Fortunately for Angela, last night was chilly enough that she didn't chose her usual nightwear of nothing at all. Her shirt is pulled over her head just before she realizes Cinna the Dog is watching, looking just a little too happy.

Angela isn't ashamed to be naked, but this is weird enough to make her flip the device camera-lens down on the bed.]

Sorry, but that's just creepy.

[Cinna gives a barking laugh when everything goes black on screen. Picking up the device in his teeth, he pads into the living room and manages, after a few false starts, to prop it up against some books. Now replaced, he can jump on the couch and lay down, waiting for her to turn the device back over... or not.]

[Ten minutes later, Angela's back on screen, freshly washed, brushed, and dressed in sweats and baseball cap. Not the most fashionable thing to wear to visit a stylist in, but this ain't a fashion show. Cinna will have to hold whatever judgmental opinions he has.]

[Giving a short bark, Cinna wags his tail. See, nice and comfy. You know you want to join him.]

[Well, give her a few minutes, dog... er, Cinna. She's making her way out of the apartment and down to the elevator, juggling a plastic bag in one hand and the network device and a pair of brown knees high boots in the other. This'll be difficult to keep up all the way there.]

I know you'd prefer to see my face as much as I'd love to see yours, but I'll have to switch modes and put this thing in my pocket.

[Cinna nods and yawns. It's okay, he can take a nap while you walk. In fact, he'll lean over and... try to turn off the device. Actually he's going to knock it off the coffee table and growl at it before pawing at it until it turns off.]

It's exactly fifteen minutes between places and soon Angela's standing in front of Cinna's door, boots dropped off at Finnick's (Nicki's?) across the hall, but the bag is still around. It's only by pure habit that she knocks on the door before it swings open by itself.]

Cinna? It's me, Angela.

[Paws and the head of a happy-looking dog appear over the back of the sofa and there's a couple of excited barks echo in the apartment. There's also a wagging tail and he realizes he's fighting the instinct to rush over there and jump on her.

Oh, who is he kidding, he vaults off the couch and hurries over, circling her once before putting his paws on her thigh.

Angela? Can totally scratch his ears if she wants to.]
